Yesterday was National Make Your Dream Come True Day. According to one source, this day came to be as a result of the hard work and persistence of all of the people in this world who have been able to make their dream a reality.
I’ve had a lot of dreams in my life. Some I’ve been able to achieve and some I’m still striving for. One dream I’m still working on is to provide curvy women like me an option for functional pants that actually fit.
Like many dreams, this one is facing obstacles. I was hoping to perfect the prototype pants much more quickly than it’s taking. I’m learning why there are so few options for curvy women: Pattern makers and manufacturers don’t seem to understand what we need or how to make it, even after detailed explanations. It’s frustrating to say the least, but I’m committed to fulfilling this dream however long it takes! My hope is that by next year’s National Make Your Dream Come True Day, CurvedWear will be helping to create equal pants opportunities for curvy women everywhere.
Another dream I have is to continue finding ways to support and empower other women, especially fellow women entrepreneurs. I’ve had a lot of support along the way, and I think it’s integral to women-owned companies to have that kind of support and encouragement.
I’d love to hear about your dreams—those that have already come true and those that you’re still working on. Go to our Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter pages to share your dreams and tell us how we might be able to help fulfill them.
In the meantime, we’re still working hard to get our first perfect prototype for the CurvedWear Classic pants in time for Spring hiking, camping, and traveling. If you’d like to help fulfill that dream, please follow and share our social media pages.
Let’s all keep our dreams alive!
